markdog 18
once again our local SAS wanna be sgt is on the hunt again, scrambling the police helicopter a total of 10 times this last weekend, catching zero but threatening to issue asbos to men if seen in area again. The local badger expert (?) has been roped in to give expert help on signs of poaching for example "watch out for men with running dogs walking the fields" or " look for cars in gate ways this is a prefered method of poaching transport" and finally her best word of wisdom the hunting dogs are often poorly treated and forced into the act of hunting ( i have noticed my saluki bitch cowering in her corner when i pick her lead up, and as for wanting to chase anything that moves i had to beat that into her its not a natural instinct the breed as had for thousands of years) if you wanna laugh read the article and view a short interview at www.driffieldtoday.co.uk Quote Link to post

Hollie 21
Well according to the stupid woman who gave the video interview, working dogs don't have a good life, they get knocked about and are not very well looked after, '' nothing gets killed quickly, it is ALL a gory horrible death'' has she ever been out with a running dog, very much doubt it, what a uneducated statement to make, go and waste the tax payers money and send the helicopter out to find youths throwing cats off balconies, OR go and spend the day with a hunter, watch him/her prepare the best food for his dog, fluff up his bed so he is comfortable after his run, pat his head because he has done a good job and made his master proud OR she could continue to spill absolute bollox to the ignorant public who will belive her stupid words........................................................... Molie1337 35
classic! the old biddy at the end had a very romantic view of how dogs are worked!! "its a horrible GORY death" she obviously thinks about it alot...poor old girl! Post edited by Simoman, use your brain please before engaging your fingers....... Quote Link to post

T78 4
"poacher patrol" have been giving it some around york for a month or two now. we got pulled twice(one t5 and one unmarked black volvo ) in 20 mins in the subaru a month or so ago. at 2 am on a sun morning. im sure there are better tyhings for coppers to be doing at that time than raking around fields looking for a few lads with dogs. it was in the press yesterday that they're doing the east riding of york now. BLUCHER 1
Got pulled over in my mates 4x4 going to wolds game fair at sledmere, and had the tank dipped. PC plod asked why we had lurchers in the back. Jesus were going to a game fair, didnt need sherlock holmes to work that one out. Quote Link to post
markdog 18
its defiently getting hot round here, but its all one sided few months back they issued press statement to the public to report anybody seen in fields with lurcher type dogs. Surely if you really have to report something iy should be the actual act of coursing not just walking there are hundreds of green lanes and rights of way across land round here how long before you before my mum or girlfriend gets stopped for innocently walking my dogs. To make it fair lets report every granny with a jack russell could be potential badger digger! what about the local staff owners hardcore dog fighters? Its all political i know of one very wealthy landowner who owns vast areas of land and still rides with the local hunt do the poice wait outside his house? Its common knowledge the hunts still take fox, i heard them openly admit that " accidents sometimes happen" Dont know whats wrong with this sgt was he bit by a greyhound as a young un, he just hate "lurcher type dogs" Quote Link to post
runforyourlife 361
we got pulled in just before xmas. Had us by the road side in yorkshire at 3am in the morning for 40 b*****d minutes. First a volvo unmarked pulled us, then a van came and a squad car!! Asked us why we driving slow!!! Then all the usual. We had 18 rabbits in the boot and 2 lurchers on the back seat. They were gutted when we produced permission for lamping. They tryed to tell us we ha been after hare and fox. So when i asked them where had we been doing this exactly, they were stumped and gutted. They then said there had been 4 or 5 burgalrys in the area!! then they said we were driving wrecklessly, they tryed everything!! My mate is a 20st f**k off big guy, and is on perole after 4 yrs, so they loved this, and tryed everything to piss him off. We just kept smiling and cracking jokes, they had no choice in the end but to let us go, we left them gutted in our wake! The funny thing was that we were 40 mile from the permission i produced in the other direction! Quote Link to post
