hope these pics help! no welder so we just busted a hole in the exaust and held the old strimmer shaft in place with gun gum and wire!! runs fine though, and makes a hell of a noise! the smoke just seems to stay in the "surface" tunnels though, we find digging down a way helps alot.

Im very tempted by the Rat Attack smoker though, just because of the silence!! ear defenders are a must with old 2 stokes, especially if you've messed with the exaust!

Cheers

check weather the exhaust is a two part type, mine had a face plate bolted on the exhaust, I simply undone to face plate, and cut a new one out of tin plate, then put a 15mm tank connector through the new plate and bolted it all back together, works a treat

had thought about linking the blower via a tube to the exhaust copper pipe, but not sure if this will dilute the gasses too much, as you'd then be blowing fresh air down the holes

the rat attack is good too, exspecially if you make up a pipe, save keep bending down

the pipe is held in position, its not fixed to the smoker

just use a length of rubber hose pushed on to the exhaust and secured to stop it falling off thats all we use with the converted strimmer engine i made ( made a frame bolted to the engine with spikes to secure it to the ground )

i got to say he did a great job and works well
