Guest SJM
Here's a couple of pics of my mates bitch, he took her out shooting with him today, he fired 4 shots and his bitch retreived 4 fine hares. Some folk may be thinking so what thats nothing special, but I think it is, because the bitch hadnt been run for about 3 weeks prior to this week, due to the hard ground/frost etc and also because she only has 2 toes on one of her front feet due to an injury she sustained last season, she had to have them amputated. Ive also seen dogs half her age, and with full feet, that arent able to do 4 retreives on this particular bit of ground, in January, so I think man and dog deserve a big for teamwork and good shooting Quote Link to post

Guest SJM
About 6 months in total, it happened last year just as the season was getting going the toes were wrecked beyond repair so the vet recommended amputation, then there was several months of back n forth to the vets when the wound wouldnt heal properly, but alls well that ends well, it doesnt seem to have slowed her down any thats for sure !
