Taxidermy Specimens

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

For a while I was trying to do some amateur taxidermy, but given I have no artistic talent whatsoever, I continually found I was making a balls up of it. My Circumstances have now changed and fortunately I've decided to stop putting myself through the frustration of creating dinosaur looking squirrels and the like.

Unfortunately anyone who knows me has been picking up roadkill for me for the past couple of years and I now have a freezer full of dead stuff.

If anyone on here is an amateur taxidermist and could use the specimens they are more than welcome to them. I live in Perth and a pickup can be arranged if you're willing to come and collect them.

All specimens are legally obtained and protected ones recorded in my log book. Some of the birds have article 10 Certs too.

There are several owls, at least 2 red squirrels, a mole, a couple of smaller birds, a sparrowhawk, a roe buck head, and goodness knows what else. ( I threw away all my rabbit skins grey squirrels and stuff a wee while ago and just kept the more interesting specimens) All are in good enough nick and should make good mounts.

If you are interested, please leave me a message and I'll get back to you.

Cheers,

JBS
