i have a very stronge bitch she's cocker russel lakie pat lakie very stronge ive never had her to ground ive been giveing digging another try with different people at first was'nt for me but im really enjoying it my qeustion is do i breed my own terrier i would want a i know of patterdale very good dog i seen him work he's proven six season's of real hard work under his belt my bitch has never let me down never she's taken fox above ground in bush's ect ect real hard dog

 

would you say dont waste your time get one out of 2 proven digger's top line's or do you think it would be ok i think this bitch would go to ground but i never have she's four this year so to late to try whats your thougth's and opion

i wouldnt say it was to late i entered my bitch to ground at 2 1/2-3 and she took to it like a duck to water

the thing is she's one of my best bushing bitch's i dont want her going to ground on a rabbit becouse she would i would like a digger just for digging and ratting

wouldnt waste your time....theres a chance a good dog could be in the litter but its to much of an arse ache i recon. You would be better off getting one pup from a litter of proven parents and focusing soley on foxes with it instead of potentially breeding a litter of utter shite earth dogs if thats what your after

i think its entirely up to you mate if you think your bitch has got the minerals to go to ground then why not have a litter of pups out her and see how they get on at the end of the day she's got the right stuff in her to be a good dog

she's a very game dog i suppose if it dont make the grade i can use them for bushing the dog i would use is brilliant a real machine im very confident in my dog but i dont want to waste my time

personally i would bide my time and wait for a pup out of a dog and a bitch that have done several seasons earth work,been thru the mill,nowt to prove type dogs.thers been one or two litters on here alately that i liked the look of

it,s never to late to get a dog going to ground. i was given a white lakeyx russell he d seen next to nothing

now i,ve had him about 3 months now and he,s fling .mustard on charlie.he marks ,finds and stays forever

although i only had 3 digs with him i know this is just the begining..cheers..darrell.

id have to agree with oldnog just sit back have a coke and a smile and wait and some thing will come along infact pm me ive just bought a pup today and theres one left a bitch out of good stock atb chris
