Using rabbit fur

Recommended Posts

So basically, you shoot and skin the rabbit. Take the fur and stretch it on a frame somehow then scrape the guts and crap off the skin and rub salt in and leave for a while yeah? Nothing else? Wouldnt the fur need some kind of treatment too? Also, would the skin go hard and then relax after a while and be more plyable?

wel when it has been scraped and salted until dry then put it around something like a ball or something and the stitch it on mate n then thats ok

Im kinda thinking of making a big fur throw or something like that. We can get loads of rabbits in 1 sitting and with that much fur could make anything really. So the fur would need to be plyable and not stink of dead rabbit and the fur will need to be really soft too, something you would be happy to keep lying around on the sofa in your front room.
