johnnyboy28 1
My bitch border is due to whelp around the 12th May are there any vitamines or other things i should be giving her between now and then? this is only my 2nd time of breeding pups so i am still a bit green. This was not planned ,one of the kids left my kennel door open the once and my Border stud dog got stuck to her. Quote Link to post
parkstone 24
We always give a little calcium powder and multi vitamins on their main feed, to help make sure the bitch has plenty of calcium in her body for when she starts feeding the pups. we also up their food by about 1/2 the last 3 weeks as well. Good luck with the pups, Borders are cracking dogs. will they be KC registerd ect. Quote Link to post

ROZ 0
You should be able to get the calcium powder from a pet store [bANNED TEXT]. all the best with the pups. Quote Link to post
parkstone 24
hi mate you can either buy calcium from a pet shop called STRESS powder or you can buy it from a horse shop Dicalcium phophate it's a lot cheaperr from the horse shops but they normaly only sell it in big tubs and youll only need a small one so your best of trying your local pet shop. once the bitch has had the pups keep giving it her till the pups are weaned off her. any pics of mum and day?
