AndyL 0
Frontline is best and easiest, if you can't get a hold of any, you can also get tick removers you can get theese from the vet or good pet stores, they will only cost a couple of quid, tweezers will also work fine so long as you are carefull in slowly extracting the ticks from the ferrets skin (you need to make sure you get the whole tick out). Remember to spray or wash out the ferrets bedding and living quarters, there might be more in there. Don't use general cat or dog tick remover applications, the toxins in some of them can be to strong for ferrets. Quote Link to post

Sterry 0
I got told by my vet not to use frontline on my ferret, theres a tool thats an "L" shape and got a lil "V" at the end just hook it around and twist it and pulls it all out teeth and all, done it on the dogs dozens of times and re useable, Quote Link to post

stubby 175
for christ sake people, use the search facilty, as stated there are pages upon pages on tick removal, pictures of the little green tool, and good reasons not to use vaseline, if you care about your ferts, take the time to get the answers Quote Link to post
pashley1988 0
don't ever use tweesers, when you apply pressure to the tic to pull it free from the ferret it forces some of the nasty crap from the tic back inside the ferret and can causes damage, i recomend the little green tool you can learn more by checking the search options Quote Link to post
