Moorman 1 1,379
He still has a lot of dogs farmed out to various hunts, then he has them back for breeding. As I said it has a lot to do with who has it and what they show it. I have seen a lot of crap from many breeds and so called good working strains. Quote Link to post

Guest Stevie D
Brock, I've had 2 bitches off him, first one was a strange wee bitch, worked one day but not the next, sent her to Wales where she did ok and is there still. The second was a total coward, showed her cubs, tail went up arse and she didn't want to know. Not for me, but plenty of lads have good 'uns. Stevie Quote Link to post

His mate has still got dogs bred down off them, but he keeps terriers for the odd occasions he digs, he's not really testing them these days. Quote Link to post

stevesel 18
eddie chapman has and probably still does breed some cracking terriers. having said that he breeds a lot of pups and from what ive seen they can only be discribed as varied . if your thinking of breeding from one make sure its a good worker out of workers . nice dogs moorman Very well put ,very diplomatic, ive seen some of his dogs turn away from longtails! OHIO STEVE 11
Eddie traveled here and hunted a few years back with myself , Kenny Chambers and a few folks from FLA that had his dogs.....I am not sure if it was the owners or the dogs but I wouldn't have fed any of them....PLUS when Eddie dug the dogs simply marked a den and he would dig the entire thing up regardless of if the dog actually entered or not..He'd fish a limb up into the den and dig down to the end of the limb, and repeat the process till he dug up the groundhog. He also did NOT believe in letting the dog touch the game and considered it bad if they did make contact. AGAIN this was a one day hunt with dogs out of his stuff, NOT his personal dogs.
