deeley24 72 Posted January 20, 2009 Report Share Posted January 20, 2009 went out over the farm today about 1 pm just to have a look what was about saw a few birds flighting between two wood so, got out the pick up and went for a walk over to the wood on my right as there was more birds heading that way, had the 20 bore (realtree camo) and a pocket (about30) of numer 7.5 1 1/2 oz cartriges, got to a nice big oak at the edge of the wood so stared there was there for about 30 mins and i got my first shot two birds came to land in the oak lol never even got 1 for 3 shots it was about every 10 to 15 mins there would be 1 or 2 come in near me so i could get a shot, packed up at about 4:15 was quite hard to see. ended up with 12 for about 20 cartriges good few hours. happy hunting Reece Quote Link to post
the Verminator 0 Posted February 27, 2009 Report Share Posted February 27, 2009 Hi i often go roosting, going 2 moro , i go in a huge mixed wood and often shoot about 20 and a few squirrels as well. i shoot in firs so there intresting shots. be intresting if people put what type of woodland they though was best for roosting. i personaly like mixture of firs with a fre oaks or ashes for them to drop into first. happy hunting the verminator Quote Link to post
