whippet/greyhound cross fox hound?

i was being nosey today and inquired about some lurcher pups being advertised ,is this a common cross ,first ive heard of it

never heard of it either........good some good points to look at from but surely it'd just be a fast foxhound and bay when on the scent....good question though.....i'll be interested to see what the more experienced people say??!!??

Have a look for a book called Rebecah the lurcher or somthing like that, that talks about this cross

know a bloke with a 1/2 roo dog x Foxhound/Bullarab

 

Dog hunts everything from rabbits, foxes, pigs etc

 

It is not as sleek as a running dog normally is, she has a bit of more bone, but has a decent nose, is quiet on trail and as tuff as old boots
