best rifle for rabbits

Hi just looking for some advise really can anybody tell me what rifle would be best for rabbits im thinking 1 of the co2s.

Not really looking at spending more than £200 Will consider second hand.

Look round for a decent 2nd hand .22 HW95 or 77 ..you should be able to pick up a decent set up with a scope and bag for around the 2 ton mark..........co2 ani't really the tool for bunnys ;) ....

Thanks people now looking for a springer then if any body has a decent 1 they want rid of please

My BSA lighning has done me proud since i've had it. Definately good enough for bunnies, and you can pick them up fairly reasonable s / h. Would also help if you put up where you are in case someone has a rifle for you

I agree with the post above look for a decent springer you should be able to get a decent bsa, webley second hand wiehrauch for a decent price and you can get a good quality 3-9x40 from JSR for under 30 quid

 

can you tell me why the co2 is not good for rabbits please

Co2 is fine. It just has it's limitations. So long as it's not really cold (below 5'C ish), it'll be ok. I use it with good results in an XT2250. The small 12g bottles do have problems as soon as the sun goes behind a cloud, but the 88g gives you a much more real world peformance. For what you pay and what you get, they are well worth a look!
