out again this time in some game cover the runs where very good heres a few pics of them

a few in the traps

and i put three benders out and caught 3 out of three here are a couple of pics

a close up

and 1 in a trap that had been eaten not a lot left

Any chance of a pic of a springer set and ready. What is it, a willow whip and two pegs notched in some way? What weight of wire?

How do you deter non-target species?

they are hazel whips , cut 4 ft. in length and pointed at one end , look at the top of page one and see how to set them , you will see under gs waters. heading, how to snare rats and rabbits, from the drawings that i have put up, there is also good clear pictures that peg and gun put up , showing the sets in good clear detail. ash, siver birch, and holly and a few more types of whips also make good benders for spring snaring rats .

i aint had chance to use them springer snares for years used to love using them and live traps catching rats in them was great.good post.

by the way nice going teejay, some lovely big rats in the traps and snares. some really cracking runs , i,ll be looking for ones like that this week , you lucky rascal.

someone was telling me about those snares where they fling in the air"bender snares" as i know no they are called, didnt think it would work but seemingly it does.....i shal have to have a go

he is trying to get us going p and g. showing us those well padded rat runs , they are like motorways. brilliant for snaring with the benders.

Those runs are pretty much paved, could you put up a picture of a set bender? Ive never seen a properly set one before
