jus bought brno .223 wots best ammo to use i know ur suppose to fire a couple of different types of ammo but has anyone done dat already and are they a good rifle i got it cheap so i dont know much about them and dont kno anyone else who has one can you get a deer license for them or is it not powerful enough im in the south of ireland

I found that remington 50g ballistic tips worked really well through my CZ527 but generally they aren't ammo fussy.

Try something cheap like Privi Partisan and if its not accurate enough for your liking you can always go for something more expensive.

Mine's not a fan of the Prvi. American Eagle 50gr JHP - 3/4 inch group at 100 yards, can't complain about effectiveness on a fox or muntjac either.

the 22-250 is the min calibre allowed for deer in ireland, but the min recommended calibre is .243, depends on the county your in etc,

but the goverment would like to see the .243 used for the dispatch of deer in ireland.

sean try the american eagle 50 grains for 11.50 a box or 20 ya cant go wrong ,im very impressed with them ,not mad about the remington 55 grain very irregular grouping

Hi sean what twist is your rifle ..the american eagle are no good for hunting i thought they are FMJ ..or have i made a mistake ive use them for setting the scope up but not for anything else

the 50gr AE are a jacketed hollow point, and expand very well - mine rarely exit a fox.

 

All other AE 223 ammo is FMJ though, and is either 55 or 62gr.

i got american eagle 50 grains for 15 euros a box for 20 ya they done the job for me thanks did you try anything with a ballistc top
