Guest SJM
I find it very hard to beleive a plummer terrier would either have the strength required for drawing or the speed for chasing quarry that a half x bull/grey has Quote Link to post
Waz 4,274
Nice looking dogs though these plummer terriers. Quote Link to post
Guest 10/22
Who clubbed a dog to death and why? I think that question is one that the club must keep behind doors, its a few years ago and we dont like looking to the past, it happened and was dealt with accordingly, thats as much as anyone should need know or even want to, graphic details in order to entertain are not needed. I just happen to like them. Edited January 23, 2009 by 10/22 Quote Link to post
Guest SJM
If it must be kept behind closed doors why have you just posted it on an open public forum? Quote Link to post

Guest night time my time
nite time,i can make head nor tale of your last post, are you saying your plummer works on the lamp, taking all quary, your plummers sound versatile to say the least, still i should not be suprised, bet theres a dash of bull in your dogs.your the one started name calling feller, yer theres a dash of bull in all plummers.good blood to have in any terrier imo, adds that prey drive, and keeps faults to a minimum.the plummers at legion you seem to dislike so much.(sounds more porsonal to my)mosthave a higher percentage of bull blood than mine,,im out roughing in a bit,and yer aint nothing bar hare/deer they dont stand a chance of turning up or putting to ground, exerlent noses on them, work any cover, obviously i use my lurchers for lamping but they will also be roughing alongside my plummers,so anything is posable, Quote Link to post
Guest 10/22
We found with our breeding that the earlier generations prior to adding the vandals lines were far more biddable, the likes of old mask, whos sire was one of the original new blooded dogs and Des also are far more laid back. the vandal lines brought in fiery working lines which take a bit more handling, but its down to hard training which some people are reluctant to do - especialy with a small puppy, they tend to forget they grow up and what they let them get away with turn them into an unruly monster they have little control over. Plummers are 2 yrs old before they mature- in the head anyway, so rushing them achieves nothing and letting them get away with things even less. We will be using old mask this year over a couple of bitches as we need to keep his blood, he did 3 yrs in hunt service and proved a good dog, he also came second in the gun dog scurry at the welsh (he led for quite a time) and won a couple of shows, so its lines we cant afford to die out.
