Sam the Man, Teds Move both were track bred and won Waterloo Cups, they both had excellent mouths picking up on the run up, very fast leading up and not giving their opponents a chance of scoring points

p.s Glatton General was track bred and unlucky not to win a Waterloo Cup, sired a winner though

Thats the worst thing about hunting with full greys , Every time they run you have to worry whether or not there going to colide with a fence and break their necks. farmers electric fences are the worst ever.

 

 

i know what u mean,,,,i dont have racing greyhounds ,but racing whip x greys,,,i was out 2day ,,and there is a few exceptions,,,,the white whippet i own wont take risks,,,keeps his head when running down the odd game,, my bigger black dog keeps his head also,,,,but my fawn dog buddy is gun hoo,,,,( he,s the one my heart is always in my mouth,,but having said that,, he hasnt injured himself yet ( he must have luck of the irish lol )

 

 

what iam trying to say is anybreed with alot off speed ,,,u do have to worry when fences,etc ,,, when they go flat out,and over keen,,,( but some do learn and start using there head,) i find,( somtimes)

Id spose thats one of the reasons the grey was crossed to make a lurcher, to give brains and brakes.
