scent 509
went out at 8 this mornin with sionnach and 2 of the lads to hunt an old railway line to see if any foxes were about. It was a cold start to the day so i was praying for a dig .We hunted the railway line which led to a plantation and a forestey and the dogs were giving welly so we knew charlie was about. Some of the dogs were marking a 3 holer and we then discovered sionnachs bullxrussell was gone aground and was locked to the quarry .After about 15 mins digging with just a bar and our hands we were into the fox and terrier and the terrier was lifted and the fox was killed.A nice big vixen that had been feeding on sheep as skulls and bones were everywhere around the earth. We then hunted a bog and a big dog fox flew out but was missed by the lurchers but one of the beaglexspringers later hunted the same fox and kept him at bay under a sleeper on the railway until the rest of the dogs came and finished the job .So 2 foxes today and we only hunted a small area so we were well pleased Quote Link to post
