victor 10 Posted January 18, 2009 Report Share Posted January 18, 2009 the lamping weather is shit most of the time, apart from the middel of winter, usualy we have full moon no wind, and clear skys. so yeah. cant wait untill winter also we have day light savings so it's about 9:30 before i get to go out and then usualy wait 15 min for the sun to go away completly Quote Link to post
midnight walker 8 Posted January 18, 2009 Report Share Posted January 18, 2009 was out last night for a shine weather was wet and windy feilds were floded rabbits were few saw a pair of foxs locked : together in the middle of a feild that was a first for me but they were off before i got close seen 4 rabbits got 2 the other two were off before the dog got a chance before so i called it a night Quote Link to post
dexie 2 Posted January 18, 2009 Report Share Posted January 18, 2009 Finally managed to get out for first time in a month. started by having a mooch on beach an golf course seen a couple of foxs :search: but they off min lamp went on,bin lamped to feck why fields been froze found a few fields with bunnys sat out and managed 2 outof 2 so not all bad ..out again later see how get on starting pup..DEX Quote Link to post
Guest mickyrichardson Posted January 18, 2009 Report Share Posted January 18, 2009 well we went for a shine got to our destination for 1030 first field knocked the lamp on the field was moving with rabbits so fieldsporthunter slipped his bitch after a short run that was first in the bag,My dog followed up taking the next went on like that for a while 4 rabbits first field then i decided i didnt like to stay on my feet my first fall i walked off a steep bank and into a pond then i gets myself up walked 5 yards and tripped over a rock straight through a bog then to top it all off we could see someone lamping in the next field (we were poaching) so back to the motor just pulling away and Special constable Best pulled me over for a little chat asked me if i'd been poaching who me just been walking these country lanes picking road kill up well he let us on our way so on our way to some permission which had been lamped a few times this season and had a bad case of mixy but we still managed a further 16 rabbits some been very poor rabbits just skin and bone my dog got loose when old big ears jumped up ran 200 yards up the beam brought it back towards us and the connection on the lamp come loose sods law got the lamp back on just to see it slipping under a gate so back to the motor ringing wet full of mud off my earlier rolling about we finished up with twenty rabbits Quote Link to post
