First time out for a while

I've not been out with the air rifle in ages, been spending all my time with the dogs and ferrets, but both dogs are knocked up and had a spare hour this afternoon so i thought i'd have a crack.

 

It was quite nice just to be me and the gun rather than all the odds and sods that you take ferreting. I arrived about 3 and there were a few rabbits out feeding, dosent seem to matter what time of day on this place there always a couple out. Managed to miss the first one in front of the land owner, luckily i know her quite well so she didnt care.

 

Walked a bit further on and missed another . Gave myself a stern talking to and checked the zero, all good, my fault then! Stalked up on one sat in the field and dropped it, a bit mixy though.

 

Sat in ambush for a bit then my phone goes, turn that off and move to another position. Stalked up on one 35 yards, off a tree, perfect head shot. Thats better! Took another at 40+ yards from the same position and had to call it a day as it was getting dark. I'd forgotten how satisfying it is when you pull off a nice clean shot.

 

Both of the clean bunnies were skinned and gutted and handed over to the father of the land owner.
