Little Butch 16
I've got 2 as I thought I lost one, both In Stainless.. They're no thrills but do the Job! Butch Quote Link to post
trappa 518
Cheers butch. Whats the crack with the different coloured handles mate? Quote Link to post
Little Butch 16
Nothing I don't think.. Get the Clipper, much more comfortable handle but just as strong They're only Stick Tang but very sturdy, I've abused mine over the years and It's still goin'! Splitting wood and all sorts.. oxo 441
Cannot not go wrong with any of the Frost knives, easy to sharpen and take a excellent edge. The carbon blades discolour but are better imo. Quote Link to post
droid 11
The carbon steel blades are sharp as....a very sharp thing. Well recommended. Quote Link to post
jimb 30
The only knife I use Quote Link to post
Guest AngelicAcid
Ive got the stainless version and it seems to be a very canny knife for the price. Go on e bay, or greenman bushcraft, the handles just mean that you can see the luminous ones a lot easier. Quote Link to post
TOMO 26,067
i have the frost clipper with the bright orange sheath so i dont loose it i have it in stainles which keeps it looking new. sharpens up well with the blade tech. would recomend them it cost me £10 at a game fair a few year back Quote Link to post

Hob&Jill 258
They are great knives I grind mine to a drop point, same as I do with opinels. Quote Link to post

The carbon blades discolour but are better imo. I think the 'discolouring' you refer to Is a Patina.. Carbon Steel Knives build this up with use and It builds up more of a resistance to Rust! The Carbon Knives are more easier to Sharpen than th Stainless but don't hold an edge for as long.. Butch Quote Link to post
ssssh1forthepot 0
I have the carbon steel one, it does disscolour if you dont clean and oil it but holds a much sharper edge IMO got mine off the Ray mears website. Quote Link to post
Little Butch 16
In my eyes It's best to not clean It that often.. Just make sure you Oil It and It stays dry.. Even moisture will rust a Carbon Steel Blade! Butch Quote Link to post
