cobelec 0
this may sound stupid but it it possible to use a small air compressor to fill a hw100 ? Hi, I have a HW100T and was given a 232Bar diver's bottle as a present. Greatful as I am I have since realised you'd be better off with having a 300Bar bottle and fittings because the 232Bar bottle may not always guarantee a full fill of 200Bar. This is all down to where the bottle (and rifle) are stored. Temperature plays a part here, as I found out the hard way. With the climate cold at present, I had kept my bottle in the shed and my rifle in the house. When I wanted to fill the thing, it would not climb above 150-160Bar. Although this had little detremental effect on the afternoons shooting, it did make me question wether or not the guy who filled the bottle was telling me porkies. In a warm shop, the bottle is carefully filled. Once left in a cold (freezing) shed for a few days, the pressure in the bottle can drop as much as 20 odd Bar !!! Bit of a long winded answer ,but I would recommend investing in a 300 Bar bottle with the fittings. They don't come cheap, but you can get them in good order second hand, expect around the £150 pound mark. Best of luck !!! Quote Link to post
clubshot 22
this may sound stupid but it it possible to use a small air compressor to fill a hw100 ? No It's not recommended to Fill Any Air Gun from a Compressor As can easierly blow Seals Standard Factory Industrial Unitits are well below the minimum 200 Bar Required for Air Gun's Reason why it costs money to get them filled The Average Dive / Gun Shop ones run £5,000 Plus - regular service service costs Talking to one Dive Shop - who had invested in a Three Bottle Filler - worked out it would take him a lifetime to recover capital cost of machine - let alone Service Cost But Bottle Filling was part of his services............ A New 300 Bar 12 Litre is around £200 plus and should last a lifetime For around £6-10. per Refill it will give you around 40 Gun Fills of 60 plus shots It's just the original outlay............
