PETEWINN 5
Own brand wood stain from wilcos, has never done my ferrets any harm. If you are worried then leave the inside untreated. Obviously don't put the ferrets in the box for a week or so after treating it. Quote Link to post
BennyS 1
I got a new box from the ferret co a couple of weeks ago. Never seen anythign so well made. A credit to them. I varnished the outside but left the inside alone. I think they can supply them treated. No doubt very well done aswell. Quote Link to post
Leeview 791
Go for a microporous woodstain/finish SIKKENS preferably not cheap but really good gear and will last for yrs look for damaged tins in B&Q Yacht varnish is ok if you have the time 24/48hrs between coats and lays on the surface of the timber, will scratch and let moisture through Y.I.S Leeview Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
Dulux one coat extereier gloss, two coats, lasts forever, at the end of the season, freshen them up with another coat, harmless to them if they happen to eat any. Quote Link to post
John-B 4
what about a wax applied with wire wool? Quote Link to post
Leeview 791
wax and wire wool would be ok short term, and would need redoing frequently, water could run into the joints causing them to swell Y.I.S Leeview Quote Link to post
