Gotta agree with the lads on this one Benzyl Benzoate is without question the best treatment for mange,it's not expensive and IMO will definately clear it up.Cheers Andy.

If its on his face then be carful how you apply it.this stuff is slightly caustic so wear gloves .The correct thing to do is dip the whole dog which no-one has explained. This is when it gets expensive .By treating the affected area you are not killing any mites travelling along the body .Personally I use ADVOCATE made by Bayer from the vets. This is not a cure but a prevention in the first place.

try ivomec

I would use Ivomec aswell as long as your dog has no collie in it (lassie).I use it all the time for various things on my dogs.I used to jab them with 1ml but a man I know who keeps greyhounds just mixes 1ml of ivomec and 3 ml of water and squirts it straight down there neck.I asked him why he mixed it with water and he told me its very bitter on its own for them to swallow.I have give it the dogs this way for a while and it works fine for me :good:

you not read my reply proper then [bANNED TEXT] as i said bath the dog! :good:

To effect a CURE with this stuff it has to be used neat ,no mixing with water and the dog has to be submerged not bathed.Sorry to nick pick but facts are facts.Creosote painted on the kennel will kill any mites hanging about but find alternative housing while it drys.Dogs like to lick this toxic stuff for some reason.

if your dog has an infection of the scabies mite, known as sarcoptic mange in dogs, then keep in mind that humans can catch it from them so if you or family start itching! :o

people have already posted advice on treatment ie stuff for humans work well.
