took me beddy bitch out yesterday for a long walk with some mates and while we where out she went under a fence and has plit her tail!

its like in half wher the skin has come away from the bone!!:(

waiting to take her the vets now someone has said it might need cutting off??

theres about 2/3 inches

would that make any difference in running??

any views and advice are more than welcome

thanks

i dunno realy mate she did a dispearin act [bANNED TEXT] she came bak ther was blood every wer a fence was the only thing around we could think of that could have done it,

took her the vets [bANNED TEXT] the vet said she needed to clean it up quite alot with her being rough coated

but she thort she would more than likely have to take the top couple inches off it :(

i am woundering would this effect her running in anyway??

thanks dan

cut a piece of hose pipe and slip it over the tail and tape it at the bottom ... plenty of air will get in through the top and it will protect it through the healing process ........

thats sound advice, the vet should have dressed the wound but it will take a fair time to heal and will need redressing before its done. keep it well dressed if its in the house as they flick blood everywere from a bleeding tail and it will make the chat with your mum that much harder.

good luck.
