apparently theres some in the afon llwyd in torfaen so worth giving it a go there

Generally speaking the EA will readily grant a licence to anyone who shows a willingness to remove the American Signal Crayfish from waters over which it has jurisdiction (thats most waters in England and Walses) however you will have to apply for one and make sure that the crayfish you remove are signals and not the native crayfish which is a protected species and the removal of which is illegal

signal crayfish taste great and you will be doing the enviroment a favour at the same time

I am told that their bailiffs wil do you if you are caught trapping without a licence.

 

Shouldn't be a problem getting one. You may have more of a problem stopping the locals from nicking them from your traps!
