klarakoi 0
Hi Everyone, This is my QB 78, it has been seen before but I have just done some other bits to it and thought you might like a look, What I done was polish the cylinder and breach plug and the trigger and bolt, done a bit more stippling to the pistol grip and stained it darker, I think it looks better than before, because I live in Spain the power is set now at 15.5 FPE, and its now running on the bulk fill system and its doing one holers at 20-30 yards, all in all a nice little gun, oh and by the way, all in including postage from the UK, and bits for modding stands me in under a 100.00, not bad me thinks, all the best, Rob,, Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
Can't fault that for the cash! I'm a big fan of co2 power but it seems to be frowned upon by many. Shame.... If they'd give the newer generation of guns a go and try to remember they cost a hell of a lot less than a P.C.P. they might change there minds! Quote Link to post
BEARINATOR 2,867
That looks nice mate, it certainly puts my xs to shame, how many shots do you get off the bulk fill system as i've got mine running on the 79 co2 bottles Quote Link to post

Amen that bud, for the UK markets power level these are great little hunters, set at 11.5 FPE they will cleanly kill any quarry there aimed at, Rob. Quote Link to post

I've used .177 for a very long time but got a .22 King Ratcatcher a year or so back and what a cracking little gun it is! For short, medium range pest control, it's fantastic! I never get the 300 shots Crosman claim for the 88g bottle (change mine after 200 or so to be safe) but that aside I can't fault it. Your rifle looks really nice, Rob. How can anyone complain for that money? Do you rate the quick-fill system? Cheers! Edited January 16, 2009 by andyfr1968 Quote Link to post
BEARINATOR 2,867
It's shooting in between 11.8 and 11 ftp, i get roughly 200 shots out of each 88g bottle mate, i'm in 2 minds wether to have a go at some more mods to it Quote Link to post

Hello mate, To tell you the truth bulking it can be a pain some times but worth it, what I do now is if I'm at home and going to have a shoot up in the garden then I just use the 20 oz bottle with a remote, I can shoot all day with that connected, and to be honest if I was to go out shooting I would always take my station bottle to reload if I needed to, all the best bud, Rob.
