Guest WILF
I went to the west country game fair once, the only downside was that it was full of people from the west country.....very odd bunch!
bullmastiff 615
It was good to finally meet you Topper, sorry I couldn't hang around long, you've got a PM! It was a good show overall and managed to pick up a few bargains, amongst others I got a camo rucksack for a fiver, and a large Tanning kit for £12! shame I couldn't show Roo though, they had a seperate class for colliex, Salukix, Beddyx deerhoundx but not the Bullx??? Had a few lads with smashed up Bulls offering to buy Roo off me, from the north of England I think but couldn't guess their accent, just kept asking what work he could do and am I sure I don't want to sell him LOL I wouldn't part with him for all the tea in China! interesting though as they thought he was too big to be a 3/8 5/8 or 1/4 cross? said they thought he was a second generation half cross? anyone that saw him could hazard a guess I'd apprieciate it. The BASC shoot school was busy as ever with us getting told to wait an hour for a lesson which turned into two :realmad: still once we finally got the lesson I found it really constructive. I got to use a Beratta 20 bore which is the first time since I was 16 that I've used a 20 bore and I loved it! cracking little guns, I forgot how pointable they were! lorelei0922 2
We went along to the show as well.. mostly for the ferret stuff... I know "show" ferrets generally get a lot of schtick on the forum but i just had to mention... Best hob, Best Jill, First Place Albino Hob, First - Second Place Albino Jills, Reserve and Champion of the show... all went to solid working ferrets..... Good show! small but fun! found some good deals on nets and twine for making such things and a had a lovely picnic in the sun ...

ellir0305 9
Super day... downside was came away wanting a terrier even more.. sadly cannot have one :wallbash: i thought it was a bit of a let down tbh the main focus was meant to be on ferreting but there were a few ferretowners who werent really engaging people but talking amongst themselves. the trade stands were good though
jembo 0
I thought it was one of the worst shows I have been to. The puppy classes for the lurchers took over 1.5 hours!!!! The rings were tiny, you could not even swing a cat and certainly could not see the dogs move. The lurcher ring was also right next to a fire, and every now and again you got covered in ash. My OH was getting stressed by the 3rd class so we went home, but was pleased that we got a 2nd in the beddy x class.

The rings were small, but there were some stunning dogs there though... terriers esp. not that I am biased

nasher1 258
Nice weather good family outing but you were pretty stuffed if you went there looking for a bargain, not enough stalls, some cracking looking dogs there though
Moorman 1 1,376
It was more expensive to get in and less stalls than previous years.By the time you get there pay your entrance fee and get something to eat it's a pretty expensive day out,not good value for money
