Had Capri- used to keep a couple of bags of sand in the back, back end 'twitchy' that's an understatement. Where I used to live you couldnt drive if you didnt ar*e end it round the corner at bottom of road.

Unfortunately after many more cars some fun & some not had to get something reliable. Had cars with kits, wide alloys, tinted windows. I loved my old fiesta with full kit & wide alloys. Also like the old MG roadster, TR6, Damiler Dart- proper cars with great big steeering wheels & no PAS.

Used to love the banger racing & grass tracking. My step-dad used to do off roading that was flaming scary.

I still couldn't get the petrol head syndrome out of my head even when settled down and picked up my first RS Turbo Custom in late 89, next was a couple of others on a G plates until 95 when my lad came along on I got a old mans car ;) .

I somehow managed to fit a Pug 1.9GTI in the middle of these somewhere, this was quick but lacked the plushness of the RS's I was besoted with and still am....

Heres the Mk11 I was on about, seen here down the pit lane straight at Knockhill, Scotland, scaring a journalist half to death.

Spec:

Fully space framed chasis.

Cosworth Turbo motor, running touring car ignition, turbo and mangement. Depending on mapping and injectors 300-450BHP.

Massive Wilwood 6 pot calipers, fully floating rear atlas axle, attached to the space frame,

Now sporting 6 speed sequential quaife box and a dry sump.

My part of the project was fabrication of the roll cage and some of the other metal work.

Currently in my mates workshop having its routine rebuild of the engine before the season.

BKE engineering, is just thame name of my mates electrical business, that he stuck on for a laugh

Seriously quick car.. :whistling:

As seen in Retro ford magazine. :notworthy:
