pointer 543
I had a late invite out ratting last night so wasnt able to sort time off work yesterday. This meant having to go in early and do some frantic fork lift driving, just enough so that the lads i work with could manage this morning before i was back in the afternoon. Anyway im glad i did as i hate to miss out on anything and it turned into a canny mornings ratting,i got back to work just in time to have a cuppa before the graft started. My co-hunter was probably sat with his feet up eating Ive just finished a bit of training with the young GWP so i might get some food into me now. pointer 543
to be honest the red terrier looks quite good on that pic, better than he does in the flesh.photos seem to make his head look bigger than it actually is. Quote Link to post

Hedge_hunter27 18
Another local trip out ratting. Had "Red" the first cross Plummer Nuttall dog, "Tess" the Lurcher and my Plummer "Nipper" with us. Had a mooch for half an hour with the dogs, a few rats around but hard to get at with all of the clutter . Pointer managed to shoot a few with the air rifle but they just dropped down the cavities in the wall so these are the ones we got with the dogs. erik 71
nice work and i like your big dog pointer you also use him for fieldwork on birds ..? Quote Link to post
pointer 543
the big dog is a gwp bred lurcher, she has been known to catch a few rabbits from time to time but dosent bother hunting birds much. i do own a year old pure gwp which will be used for various things but i dont go shooting.his main use will be general hunting, ratting and ferreting plus working the reedy dales from time to time.
