I've just been notified by the local RSPCA inspector that she has picked up a dead Patterdale, young, black rough coated, has a diamonte collar, in rural area of Chichester. Had severe injuries that could be consistent with Badger baiting (severe facial injuries and leg injuries).

why a badger? Out of all the animals with sharp teeth they could have picked, why a badger? Does anyone working their dogs wear pretty collars on them? I though it woul be pretty pointless given that there gonna be up to there tails in dirt and god knows what like.
