Of course I don't expect an answer, this being an open forum and all that, but was there any need for the 'prick' bit? Most of us have done stupid things in cars in our youth... Doglost Co-Ordinator 4
I do have a drink on a night once the car is parked up, once it is I dont go out again .I did in my younger days & after being followed all way home praying I wouldnt be stopped I promised never to drink drive again & I havent. Finally got down to 3 points & whilst I've slowed down & dont do over 100 anymore I've always driven too fast. I dont when I'm transporting dogs or have anyone in the car but once i'm on my own that's different. Still hate boy racers that think I'm going to chug along tend to leave them standing at traffic lights just to p*ss them off. My brother was banned not long after passing his tet for drink driving- not helped by giving the coppers lip when they collred him outside the house with the gearstick in his hand cos it used to come out of the gearboxon his first car & he used to take it in the house to stop car getting nicked. It was a long time ago & is funny now. At the end of the day I'd never drink drive, what's more worrying is how many are on drugs & on the road

Most of us have done stupid things in cars in our youth... i make a point of not owning anything that does 70mph,landys and old deisel vans for me, and never even dream of drinking and driveing these days, where ever you are a taxi would always be less than the fine alone, thats without looseing your job licance,or killing someone,

littletimmy 71
Well first time ever the police have pulled me in 22 year Of driving. One minute I was having a yap in chat, went to make a coffee no milk . So jumped in car. Hurrying back as the other half on nights and just looked in my mirror blue flashing lights. Bugger my legs went to jelly didn’t have a clue what speed I was doing so had a proper panic. A very nice young police man asked if I had been drinking .As many of you know its not very often I do have a drink so I knew that was ok. It was the speed I was worried about. Typical man wouldn’t take my word for it so out came the Breathalyzer. Any way to cut a long story short all was well but it could have been so different and on the way home couldn’t help but think how I would cope if I lost my license. So just to see how would it effect you if you lost yours typical woman .. getting a way with it for 22 years I get pulled all the time for being "young" and beautiful at one stage i was getting pulled 2-3 times a week. Its calmed down now .. only happens about once a month I once got pulled by 4 different police county's in 10 days. Courteously of, Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire and Yorkshire. So just to see how would it effect you if you lost yours I think you should be arrested and charged, just for being a woman driver... Bloody useless waist of time! Cmon, who thought that woman could use mechanical instruments in a fashion that suited mankind? (vibrators exempt) No the argument has been fought time and again, woman were designed to gather fruits, tidy up and cook raw beasts
SportingShooter 0
If I was banned from driving I would lose my job as I cannot get anywhere near the place consistently without driving! 25 miles to work and 25 miles back, some distance to try and get to when the nearest train station is five miles from work, and a bus only goes to two miles away. I've never been tempted to drink and drive, I'm wary the morning after going out too. I do perhaps go too fast on the motorway, working shifts and the odd times at which I go to and come from work, the roads are quiet. But I'm acutely aware all the time, and apprehensive if I don't realise the speed I'm doing. SS

wonkylegs 4
i would be suicidal if i lost my license,i have been disabled for the last four years after falling at work and can only walk short distances so my only escape is to go for a drive in the country.i average about 30,000 miles per year

SINDASOX 256
Was watching one of the police programmes on the other week on sky and they were following a car that was lets say not being driven in a straight line, she was not driving fast at all, but she was all over the road, they pulled her over and the driver was a woman in her eighties, they opened her boot and found loads of boxes of wine in there, she was an organiser of the local wine tasting group, they breathalysed her and she was positive, she protested her innocence saying that she had only had the wine in her mouth before being spat out and demanded a blood test down at the station, they agreed to this, carried out the test and the result was negative.
