right looking for some advice to see if any other nuttal owners have had the same problem as me.

right had a nuttal bitch two years old, last few days she was not looking right. this afternoon checked on her and looked in the kennel and she was motionless in the kennel gave her a poke thinking she was dead and she moved picked her up and she felt cold and her skin around her neck was wrinkled when picked up by the scruff of the neck,( classic signs of dehydration ) even though she has fresh water daily. Her fur around her shoulders was standing up and when you touched her fur she flinched.

Took her to vets and they where unsure what was the problem.

She had a very low temperature and was wheezing on her chest.

did a scan on her just in case she maybe had pyometra but all was fine there.

They wanted to put her on a drip and keep her in over night but her chances didn't look good, So did the right thing for her and put her down there and then as she was obviously not going to come around.

Now i know of another nuttal dog with very similar symptoms, and was wondering if anybody else has had or knew of something similar in nuttal lines.

makes you wonder with his lines being very closely breed if it was maybe due to inbreeding or a hereditary problem.

i got a nuttall dog 7 year old he has a breathing problem he is allways tyring to cough flem up especially in the morning when he is put on the lead and he is allways snorting (pain in the arse) i took him vets a few times when he was younger and they just give him a jab for kennel cough but it made no difference so he just lives with it now.

was the dog innoculated?Had the dog been used for ratting, also did it have a booster? It's unlikely the reason is a because it's bred by Nuttall, the dog has picked something up,could've been anything poison, disease from rats, not all innoculations are 100 percent protective, did you get any sample from the dog from the vet after having it put down? Also you say you know of another similar situation to this, what became of that dog?Sorry to hear about this, hope you find out what caused this,

Higgins.
