Good idea or not?

Keep trying to make my mind up where to put my gun cabinet in room but cant decide. didnt want it to close to the window or that if someone was to get into our garden they could see it through the window.

 

so i thought how about having the cabinet layed down and bolted to the floor ( which is concorete) under my bed. then just slide the bed to the side when i wish to take me guns out.

 

can i do this or does it have to be bolted upright against a wall?

Your FEO is unlikely to be impressed if your cabinet is easily visible through a window.

 

No problem with mounting it flat on the floor but you will need to find joists to bolt it into...just the access problems under your bed everytime you use it!

 

Any doubts talk you your FEO, he is the one you will need to keep happy!

i could not see a problem with if its concret the its just a strong as any intrnal wall. best think to do is just ring your local firearms office

or get in contact with the firearms department at BASC if you a member.

my cabinet is bolted to the floor. no problems

yeah im bolted into concrete floor also.
