Norma 2lb 11 1/2oz, Geraldine 2lb 14 1/2oz, Per/Saker 1lb 13 1/4oz.

 

Straight back to the ploughed fields this morning, and sure enough the place was alive with gulls. Geraldine hasnt been out for almost 2 weeks. Got her kitted up, and held her up. A couple of bobs and she was off as the gulls lifted. Text book slip, straight into the wind, and both her and the gulls climbed rapidly. They raked off to our left and we watched thru the binos as Geraldine got above them. Dunno about everyone else that flies at gulls, but you can pretty much tell which gull she has singled out, and it seems to know as well. Geraldine and her chosen target were now away from the flock and 4 or 500` up. Some minor adjustments to get her position right and down she came and bound to the gull a couple of hundred feet up and they both came down in a grassy field. On reflection, i shoulda gave that slip to Norma :swoon:

Drove on a little further and past a number of rooks out in a grassy field. Flung the car into reverse and back a few hundred yards to get the Per/Saker kitted up. Held her up and off she went. 2 or 3 went straight out across the field and she went after those. Halfway over, they decided against it and turned back for the nearest cover, a small river. She forced one down and took it on the banking.

 

Some slips for Norma, but nothing in the bag for her. Im wondering if her run in with the CB the other day has put her off a little.
