gozzhawk 0
Tried to get my son into it but at 14 hes only interested in girls and becoming a rock star It's something that I feel is never discussed , mostly cos folk have kids! If supervised properly and of a decent age I have no problem with it. You do however have to wonder sometimes when you see pics of a 5 yr old holding a large raptor. Will have to do a bit of digging to see the laws regarding this . Having done some display work etc it is something I have discussed before with colleagues, you see it all the time now at fairs etc , a wee midget with a HH on its head , matter of time before something goes wrong , it has and it will ...................................... jasper65 6
My lad at 7 flying a P/R 3/4 German x 1/4 Finnish male, He's now into his Xbox and probably sick of them and who can blame him!! the lad was ruled by them to keep out of the Garden, not to play football and do all the things he wanted to do in the garden as a kid when the birds was breeding....... I also kept back a male Harris for him 3 years ago which was flown for a while but he lost interest. Jasper Quote Link to post
trappa 518
We do have to be careful with children. My daughter was about 5 when we had a particularly nasty "incident" with a slightly imprinted harris. She is 11 now and fine with birds, but it cannot be stressed enough that birds of prey are killers and can never be trusted 100% Quote Link to post
