brock1 2
if i was you i would try to get out with a few people with diffrent xs to see whatx you like the best becouse people tend to just say i have this x & its the best. well i have bullxs they suit me but might not suit you becouse everyone diffrent. there is loads of allround lurcherxs but no such thing as the best x all round lurcher. or everyone whould have the same x & you wouldnt have to ask this question. i hope you find the x that suits you good luck. whin 463
the best dog is the one that catches the game no cross just a type , all types throw good ones but not any in particular keep away from puppy peddlars and dreamers mate by of genuine people who work there dogs on allsorts and make your own mind up and your pocket Quote Link to post
JPTfellterrier 65
i just got my first lurcher, colliexgrey(16 month), and i couldnt be more happy with her but i suppose it all depends on what quarry you are aiming to go for but IN MY OPINION (before anyone starts) a colliexgrey is a good allrounder Quote Link to post
whin 463
jp there bad colli crosses about to jp saw a few that wouldnt fulfill a task,, no best way see the parents work make your mind up about a pup and by one if possible only way to by of tried and tested workers ,unless your lucky enough to get aready made dog butt hey always have quirks at times non fetchers head strong ,cheers Quote Link to post

roadrunner 0
there isnt one ..........what i mean is every one will have there own prefference on whats the best on what & can do what ... some prefer small whippet xs and some would prefer a bit of bull ( thats mine 3/4 grey...1/4 bull bitch ) my advice would be go out with friends/and other people in your area who has got dogs and see how they work and see which you prefer then bite the bullet and get one & MAKE SURE ITS BRED FROM WORKING STOCK in my veiw this does help BUT TAKE YOUR TIME on choosing the list is endless on different xs / types the first dog i went with was a saluki/collie/grey one of the best all rounders iv seen.... he was my cuzans hope this helps good look on finding one Edited January 12, 2009 by roadrunner Quote Link to post
