dogs from around the globe

I have a Lunderhund x, mustard on puffins, and the double jointed neck is real useful :notworthy:

 

I have sen many of these types of running dogs in the flesh, but never hunted with them.....

Cracking thread Micky lad, makes me wonder if any of the dogs we run over here could handle life that those dogs do.

Some of them will be running in really hot conditions during the day, and some will be coming up against some fearsome quarry at one time or another. :thumbs:

Yeah mate after reading the book my head was in bits thinking what about that dog or that one could that do something better than we already have i really like the tazi and think its worth looking into more in the future but thats at the back of my mind at the moment so dont expect to see a post about me having one maybe in a few years though ATB MICKY :thumbs:

i got told earlier that there was one in darlington which had been imported from working stock dont no how true that is :victory:

Heres a pic of my Ibizan/Greyhound cross. Haven't had her that long still trying to train her up she was a rescue.

She not as quick as my other youngster which is a grey/whippet/collie x

Been trying to train them both up on the lamp but its going slow, espacially as I have a lack of rabbit round here.

They are both very keen on charlie as you can see in the last pic!!!! :D :D

i have just spoken to a man who run 2 ibizan hounds back in 1982 and he said they were really nice dogs but opened up behind quarry. ;);)

Yes she does yap behind quarry, it must be in their breeding, its quite funny sometimes.

Yes she does yap behind quarry, it must be in their breeding, its quite funny sometimes.

so thats a downfall for the breed in my opinion but i would still like to see one work just to compare it with other breeds

Thanks mate gonna let this run on a bit then do a thread with terriers from around the globe and a one with cattle and hearding dogs
