allthou he was racer,,,,he loved his hunting,,,,photo was tooken at when he was 15months,,,he just tooken suprememe dog yearling at english derby giving 7yards and 12 yards head start to other dog,s ,,,,,but his heart lay in the hunt,unknowing to me at this point when photo was taken,,,his career had ended at 15month old at racing althou he never injurded himself at hunting rabbits and well other but wont go into that ,,,his jaw power ive never seen the likes,,,except in the bully types ( throw back,s)

 

cut along story short,,,i look back on this photo,,,as i think at that point i got him in some contion,,,for 15month old dog weather it be racing or hunting,,,,i still look back at photo amazed that i did such a good job in his contion but i think he helped as he had such a natural build ,

nothing wrong with pot licker,s and lookers ,,,,if u like chinky with cat in ur chicken curry ,,,he was the dog to supply

 

i still have him 4yearold now,,,,he,s the thorn in my side ,,,( i,e what if ???),,,,,he stays on lead now except for last week , i gave him his buuny time,,,,,he,s the dog i want a pup out off but wont line,,,,zods law,,,if he was still going i would put him up agaist any lurcher,,,,( he has brillant recall , one silant whisper off his name , he,s straight to heel ,) hopfully one day he will line,,,but iam not holding my breath,,,as the good ones , have a shorter career than the other one,s,,,,he, was pleasure to own ,,,,and he will stay with me till the day he die,s ,,as in alot off ways it was my fault his carreer ended,,,( wrong choice off action at vet,s sort off speak

all photo,s were 12month to 15month,,good dogs have shorter careers,,,,my fault he didnt keep going,,,not his or his breed ,,,but mine wrong choices we live and learn

such a short career for any running dog,,,,,weather it be racing or hunting,,,,hopfully one day ill have his double,,,as i was too blame not him,,,,but at end off day mate ,,,he,s got his place in house,,,,,,p,s mind ull have to come up to mine ,,,or pop along to scottish derby in july too see english , scottish and irish running whipp,s in action in july,,,,,hope u can make it ( atb bob )
