When sourcing cover crops, feed and rearing equipment etc what are the deciding factors when making a purchase?

 

Is is the quality of the product/type, availability, the service you get, relationship with the supplier (ie you know them well) or does it just always boil down to price?

 

Do your supply merchants come out to you or is it all telephone orders or bought from local agri merchants?

all depends on the type of shoot owner with the current money situation in the uk would say it all boils down to costs at thye moment but know one going to buy a bad product

a little bit of everything you mentioned, bar price, as often in life you TEND to get what you pay for

'fraid it probably does boil down to price but just go by trial and error if you can afford to, you'll know when you're happy with your set up, but even then you'll constantly think of ways to improve.

be very careful with the cheap stuff as you may well be planting alot of weed mixed in with it which will be a big problem in the longrun always better paying a little more in my experince

Rearing equip' would be price but it pays to spend a bit on the right food especially if you are starting from day olds. All suppliers send round a rep[usually] to get your business but if you are happy where you are then you may as well stay.
