The Sporting Agent 0
When sourcing cover crops, feed and rearing equipment etc what are the deciding factors when making a purchase? Is is the quality of the product/type, availability, the service you get, relationship with the supplier (ie you know them well) or does it just always boil down to price? Do your supply merchants come out to you or is it all telephone orders or bought from local agri merchants? Thanks, Quote Link to post

alimac 882
a little bit of everything you mentioned, bar price, as often in life you TEND to get what you pay for Quote Link to post
BenBhoy 4,706
'fraid it probably does boil down to price but just go by trial and error if you can afford to, you'll know when you're happy with your set up, but even then you'll constantly think of ways to improve. Quote Link to post
1289drew 0
be very careful with the cheap stuff as you may well be planting alot of weed mixed in with it which will be a big problem in the longrun always better paying a little more in my experince Quote Link to post

Thanks, Rearing equip' would be price but it pays to spend a bit on the right food especially if you are starting from day olds. All suppliers send round a rep[usually] to get your business but if you are happy where you are then you may as well stay. Quote Link to post
