hughesey1552 0
just plain awkward and it would take much longer.if i need a quick follow up shot then i can reload without taking my eye away from the scope with my s200 but with a left handed bolt it would take a lot longer. droid 11
I've got the opposite problem. Fair bit of hand swapping, bit awkward, but do-able. Quote Link to post

jamiethehunter 0
I'm left handed and shoot an s200 and it is really annoying i have the mutishot conversion but it's wasted as i can't get a quick backup shot. Everytime i reload i end up with a juggling act which apart from the fact it slows me down also creates a lot of movement and gives away my position to the quarry. Quote Link to post
Grim Reaper 1
Caretaker, My S310 was owned by a left handed friend of mine (whereas i myself am right handed), and the original stock on it was a Beech ambi as well - similar to the situation you talk of. Now, as a right hander myself, i found i could use it very well, my left hand was on the forestock, and my right hand was on the handle and trigger, and when i needed to cock it, i just did so with my left hand whilst holding the rifle with my right hand - not too much of a difficulty i admit. However, i had my air rifle converted from the left handed system to the right handed system, and once that was done, i made myself a dedicated right handed walnut stock with a pistol grip on it. both things have greatly imroved the rifle for me, but i was able to comfortably use it as a left handed rifle well enough, on the whole. I only changed it because i wanted to make the S310 a dedicated right handed rifle for me. Hope this helps you some bud? Regards, Grim. Edited January 10, 2009 by Grim Reaper Quote Link to post

Deker 3,478
How difficult do you think it would be to own and use a left handed bolt loading rifle if you were a right handed person? If you stick with the same hands and don't try and swap then is is very awkward and takes longer..if you try and swap hands then you have to learn to shoot again...I'm struggling with this...a 300 mile trip to look at a gun with the bolt the wrong side....it must be a very special gun or VERY cheap...a none starter in my book but you obviously have your reasons..
