How many of you would get a Lurcher from a rehoming centre?

Recommended Posts

Most rescue sites insist on neutering which puts alot of people off. I understand the reasoning behind this but it does mean that most will only go to pet homes and not working homes.

we must be talkin peddlars here then as why else would there be a problem if they'd had their kit removed?

some people, if they have a good lurcher, like to keep the line, with the kit removed, no chance. :)

In my opinion your better off getting a dog that is from proven working parents.

Easier said than done though matey........so many world beaters in the for sale section that if you are not lucky enough to know lads who are really working dogs to the max and on the off chance they may be breeding a litter.......then you may just as well have a rescue as anything else.

They can make the most amazing companions, dont know why that is......maybe they are just grateful for a second chance at life silly as that sounds.

I have had a rescue, and you would do well to find a dog with as much guts.........she would have run through a wall to get her game .

alot of wankers over here will buy a staghound pup for 400$ and expect it to catch rabbits as soon as thay get home, and when it doesnt thay yell and go right off, and it's not on. my 2 mates have got stags and are so up their selvs about their shit dogs thay caNT REALISE THAT ANY DOG NEEDS TRANING. SO THEASE PUP DID COME FROM GREAT WORKING LINES BUT YOU HAVE TO PUT IN THE TIME TO get it out of them, sory for the caps lock.

I had a look through that site. I thought it was a shame that there seemed to be so many ex-breeding pedigree type dogs on there - obviously used to churn out pups for the going rate then cast aside - puppy farmers disgust me

them ex-breeding dogs are so young, some are only a year an a half... theres some sick people out there like
