Prehaps a bunny or 2 on the lamp might cheer him up Kay? ;)

If you dont want to lamp yourself, taking him out with someone else might be a better idea?

Good luck with him, i hope he comes round.

A good long walk out, and a few retrieves in the fresh air, followed by a slap up nosh, should sort him out a bit! I really hope he cheers up soon and realises how lucky he is to have a good owner, like others said its probaly the change in circumstances and pace of life that have 'upset' him, good luck, atvb Richard

I hope your right Richard , its sad watching him show no interest in anything , i hope todays the start of a new dog, he just seems to have lost his fiz a bit, if he needs a working life them i am going to have to do it , i didnt want to as i couldnt handle him getting hurt but thats selfish on my part, its what the dog needs not me

Thanks for the replys

Kay

If working sparks him up, then give him an 'easy' working life, get a smallish gun type lamp and run him short distances in large open fields, if both you and the dog know the land accidents should be minimal, hope it works out for the pair of you, atvb Richard

Tell him a joke Kay:- see if that gets a laugh..

Three race horses were bragging about their race averages.

"I won 5 out of 20 races," said the first horse.

"Oh yea! I won 15 out of my 30," said the second.

"Hah! I won 50 out of 60," said the third.

Hiding behind a hay bail, a greyhound was listening in on the conversation. He steps into view and says. "Well I won 99 out of 100 of my races."

The third horse looks at the second horse and says

"WOW!!.... A talking dog!"

reading the posts it looks like hes fit enough for a run so if your looking for a safe place to run him take him to the track you could run him solo if you wanted

well the potentials there he is retreiving & bringing me his dummy back not quite to hand but he is at least bringing it back, i had toyed with the idea of contacting the nearest track to me & seeing if he cant have a run , i do feel guilty about not giving him the home he needs, i cant give him up as i love him so i have to adapt
