It comes to some dogs and others never quite get it but if you want to help her out id take take her out and throw her favorite toy or a gundog dummy over a fence and see what happens, if she still wont jump then get another dog out with her that will and she will soon pick it up im sure. There s plenty of time ad he may just pick it up herself while your out but it would help if she had another dog to encourage her.

some people like their dogs to jump some dont, start small is the key

my pup is 13 months old now and i am pretty sure she would try and jump off a house roof if i let her, scarey to watch what she tries to jump, keep thinking she is goin to break a leg or injure herself,

be careful

Personally lamping i like my my bitch to stop at any fence, because if they get out of the lamp and start killing stuff, they wont stop doing it!

If your out through the day and come to a fence get over leave the dog, mite yap on but they get scared think your guna leave them and next thing you know is there behind you!

Read the thread starting a lamping pup, I teach mine to jump, if they are trained to return when the lamp is knocked off, they will come back, then cast enough light for them to jump back.

If she's jumping when you go over first, try introducing a command when she comes over the obstacle. Soon enough she should jump when you give her the comman, which will give her confidence.

I used 'get over' for mine. She trusted me not to steer her wrong, her confidence went up and hey presto, kangaroo dog :)

as has been already said, find some fences and dykes etc and climb over and walk away! ignore the whining and the pup will soon learn.start off small though. this is the way i taught mine and they skip over dykes and fences now.

the same is happening to my pup mate, she,s only 7 month old and thinks she can jump every thing she comes to she has so much confidence its unreal! she still needs to learn cos she is jumping fences and clipping the top of them knocking her off balance, at the moment i,m keeping her to fences with no barbed wire on (saving on vets bills)
