labsnlurchers 39
It comes to some dogs and others never quite get it but if you want to help her out id take take her out and throw her favorite toy or a gundog dummy over a fence and see what happens, if she still wont jump then get another dog out with her that will and she will soon pick it up im sure. There s plenty of time ad he may just pick it up herself while your out but it would help if she had another dog to encourage her. Quote Link to post

lurchergrrl 1,441
If she's jumping when you go over first, try introducing a command when she comes over the obstacle. Soon enough she should jump when you give her the comman, which will give her confidence. I used 'get over' for mine. She trusted me not to steer her wrong, her confidence went up and hey presto, kangaroo dog Quote Link to post
T78 4
as has been already said, find some fences and dykes etc and climb over and walk away! ignore the whining and the pup will soon learn.start off small though. this is the way i taught mine and they skip over dykes and fences now. timjim 43
vid of my pup jumping a fence when she was around 9 months old Quote Link to post
sky08 3
sometimes its better for your dog not to jump the fence [bANNED TEXT] incase u slip on a field on the side of a road but if u want it to jump while chasing slip it with a dog that does jump while chasing Quote Link to post
