bullmastiff 615
2 rabbits jointed and soaked in 2 pints of milk overnight, 50g of bacon rashers, chopped, 2 Onions chopped, Mace or Nutmeg, Salt and Pepper. After you've soaked it overnight, remove and dry the rabbit joints (keep the milk), then fry with the Bacon and onions. Once browned, add all ingredients including the milk and bake in a covered dish for 1 1/2 hours at 180ºC. Remove Rabbit joints and simmer the sauce to thicken (or cheat and add flour). Serve with veg and tatties. As an after thought, though I haven't tried it yet. This recipe would probably be really nice topped with thin slices of Potato and cheese, Gratin style. Cheers Luke.
