blackstaff 488
I thought i'd treat myself to a new air rifle in the jan sales. Well they didn't happen so i bought a new S400 .22 anyway. I thought as i'm spending more than i expected i'd buy the multi shot conversion for it aswell and just go all in ( also had to buy silencer seperate ) . After taking it out and Zero'ing my scope i felt gutted that after paying a fair whack of money on a new gun and multi conversion that i had to turn the magazine manually I have no problem at all with the rifle, and personally think it's the best thing since sliced bread . Just wondered if anyone else felt the same ? Part of me now wishes i'd either bought a second hand rifle ( Which i didn't want to do ) or saved a little more Edited January 8, 2009 by blackstaff Quote Link to post

redeye jedi 39
unlucky mate, didnt you ask the dealer his opinion on a multi conversion? thats alot of doe to shell out for a gun only to be disapointed. we all learn from our mistakes and thanks to your post maybe your saved someone else from making the same mistake. move it on cut your losses and buy a second hand one that you'll be happy with, might hurt a bit now but give it a week or so and you'll have forgotten all about it. good luck mate. Grim Reaper 1
i thought the s410 was the s400 with the magazine guess i was wrong yes mate, you would be wrong. The S400 does have a multi shot conversion, whereas the S410 is desgined purely as a dedicated multishot air rifle, this is what it does, all day long - and it seems to do it well. The multi conversion is a nice 'after market' thought of course, but it sometimes doesn't work that well, unfortunately. Regards, Grim. Quote Link to post
blackstaff 488
Only trouble with buying a second hand one is you get no guarantees. That was the whole point of treating myself to a new one. At least others will know not to do the same, even if it is at my expense Quote Link to post
daniel8822 0
it does say that you have to rotate it your self somewhere and great gun's got one myself but make sure you oil after shooting the bluing on them ain't that good and the rust will take it off over night Quote Link to post

Part of me now wishes i'd either bought a second hand rifle ( Which i didn't want to do ) or saved a little more i was looking for a new air gun for 8 months seen the s400 and thought wow thats my gun i went to see then and was that inpressed i got 2 after shooting with them for the last 3 months i would not get one ever again here is what i think of them. 1. power wise 5 out of 10 as i shot 6 rabbits and only 2 did not get away( before you lot start yes all head shots) at 45 to 50 yards my hw hits them easy. 2. rust took it out for a days shooting by 6.30 rust come on it and i cant get rid of it ( again before you say anything i oil them all the time and no how to look after a gun0 3.thye service you get off air arms is not good all they say is send it back thats easy you get a big bill went to weston park and the reps there did not no what pellets to give me never mind look at my gun. 4. the multi shot conversion is a total waste of time there is not much time difff in putting a pellet in from your pocket. was talking to the falcon reps at weston park wow they even let you test them show you how they treat the gun and all after service you may pay 50 quid more for the gun but well worth it. i was a member of the air arms site ( what a waste of time that is) John ps i have had my say lol Quote Link to post
