bet there's a lot of very happy dachshund owners out there now then

Yeah i'm well happy!

It is a draconian piece of law.......we need to revert to deed not breed..........especially as they tried to legislate against a type rather than a defineable breed....leaving it open to interpretation!

a dangerous dog is a dog that is dangerous, because of its behaviour rather than what it looks like!

carnt believe what ive read ,the r s p c a want to do something right ,ive never believed a certain breed should be classed all because a certain few ,each dog individually should be distroyed if it turns out to be dangerous

the way i see that now is that they can take any dog instead f a pittbull type........the removal of that law will suit them fine

My thought exactly, my guess is that they have been frustrated by the amount of dogs being returned to owners after court appeals as not of "type".

Got a feeling owners of working dogs are going to be in for a rough ride.

I'd hope we don't look back and wish we'd been able to keep the DDA

will they not have to prove that it is a danger to people now before they put the dog to sleep no matter what breed it is ?

Something's not quite right here. :hmm:

Does anybody else think that they want a change in the law so that they can seize any breed of dog, not just ones currently covered by the BSL?

What exactly constitutes a 'dangerous dog' in their eyes?

A dog that's only dangerous to humans, or might it include a dog which might be considered dangerous to wildlife...?
