More pics will be added after the weekend. For sale is my pride and joy. This really is a stunning, head turning truck and a joy to own. She was built by a friend of mine 2 years ago as that is what he does for a living. She is a 1988 Pick up in Atlantis Green (the proper land rover colour) with a county interior. Before he started he took the chassis and shot blasted it clean and repaired were necessary. Then the whole chassis was hot zinc sprayed inside and out and then painted black so as not to look odd. After the build was complete all structural parts were waxoiled internally including the replacement bulk head which as a result is suffering none of the usual rot issues. The body work, as can be seen in the pictures is as straight as you get on a landrover. The load bed is fully chequer plated as are the wing tops. She has a TD5 front bumper with end caps and special chrome light bar and powerful spot lights. Inside 2 defender vinyl grey seats (the most comfortable and sensible option for a truck) and a one off centre bunk seat/cubby console with matching trim. Under the bonnet is a 3.5 EFI v8 engine from a range rover which was rebuilt not long before the rebuild and runs as sweet as any I've know. The V8 is mated to full, new when built, 300tdi large bore exhaust (sounds awesome yet refined) and a 4 speed automatic gearbox from a range rover LSE which I had fitted along with a reconditioned diesel 4:10 transfer box for the best gear ratios for both on and off road use. As a result she is both fairly rapid off the mark but cruses happily at regular traffic speeds. This land rover was built using many other upgraded parts, I will list as many as I can remember below. Full +2 inch suspension lift (springs, pro comp shocks and extended braded brake hoses). Full orange Polly bush set including bump stops. Range Rover axles with disk brakes all round (New brakes pads, disks, lines right through, and wheel bearings). Dislocation cones front and rear (allows maximum axle articulation). Solid strengthened steering bars. Full one piece sound proof interior mat system that covers the floor, gear box tunnel, and up under the seats. (matching colours and easy clean). Five genuine landrover Free Style alloys with 4 excellent yokohama Geolander off road tyres and good spare. (235/85/16) Full NAS spec light kit including twin reverse lights. Full Dixon Bates adjustable tow kit and electrics. Small leather and chrome sporty mountney steering wheel and power steering. All together this is a great truck, although obviously prepared for off road as you can see she has only been used as a third car and had very light use. She has been off road with a little green laning and things but always cleaned straight away after. Also although built 2 years ago has only covered about 5000 very enjoyable miles since. She has a current MOT and has needed nothing to pass the 2 since the build. Truck is also currently sorned as of 1 Dec 2008.
