SportingShooter 0
Put them all down and see what you get How big is the farm? Acreage wise. I can't see the problem with the Rimmy's or Air. Centrefire is the only sticking point, they may ask you to have a mentor for the first few months. SS Quote Link to post
happy larry 3
if you can justify having any of the mentioned cals, and have written permision, and havent been a bad lad then go for it.however you might get conditions like being mentored for a while.also you might get asked why you want FAC air and a 22lr.the honest answer i gave to this q was for when i was shooting round places like golf courses,or semi built up areas hth paul Quote Link to post
rabbit_killer 2
i have a golf course that has been passed for rimys im not sure about centre fire but i wanted to be able to have one as i could gain permishion somewhere to use it, i didnt want to go through all this just for a rimy then have to do it all over again to add it on in the future. SportingShooter 0
Greenkeepers tend not to like centrefires If you miss they have a decent hole in the turf Quote Link to post

rabbit_killer 2
Greenkeepers tend not to like centrefires If you miss they have a decent hole in the turf true there isnt realy a fox problem on the colf courses i shoot but if i had it on my licence id go and find permishion for it Quote Link to post
SportingShooter 0
You'll need land for the centrefire before you apply Quote Link to post
jamie g 17
Greenkeepers tend not to like centrefires If you miss they have a decent hole in the turf true there isnt realy a fox problem on the colf courses i shoot but if i had it on my licence id go and find permishion for it i would go fac air for around the buildings and in places where rimfire and would be to risky to use. 22lr for vermin control [ i put 22lr to be used more at night as the rabbits are in range more and its more silent] 17 hmr for longrange vermin control [ in the day where rabbits are out of range of 22lr so hmr is perfect for this] 222 for fox control your having problems with the foxes and a 222 is the humane way of sorting the problem out. after all rimfires are not really a foxing caliber. mods down for all rifles because you want to protect your hearing and keep the noise down in the area you shoot over. after all its not good having a veruyy loud rifle shoot one rabbit and the rest run off. your get mods easy for your rifles if vermin control.
