Its some of the idiots that own them that give us a bad name, not the dog, and its not just bull crosses. Tarring everyone with the same brush is something that the antis do, because some jumped up yo

I dont like the cross, and not mad keen on the quarry, though i do keep chickens, so have had a few.

And though I've never owned a bull, I've know a few I like.

Each to their own really. Theres c**ts in all walks, and who own all breeds.

Dont judge a dog by its owner

or an owner by his dog.

I see some of your point, but think your being too close minded.

Hunting foxes with dogs is nothing new.

Just out of interrest, what dog do you keep bezza ?

When I first started out out with lurchers a dog was valued for its pot filling abilities. A dog that could take the full spectrum of fur and feather was considered the ultimate working companion.

Nowadays the ultimate lurcher is seen as the most macho looking bullcross that can soak up punishment and slaughter foxes night after night and never get sickened.

The old quotation: "The unspeakable in pursuit of the uneatable."comes to mind.

We've lost our way a little. Give me a dog that can put meat on the table rather than a fighting dog/ running dog hybrid anytime.

Personally I'm sick to death of 16 year old morons posting sicko photos of their fox catches with dogs that would be better served hunting lions or some other larger game. The bull cross has done nothing for the general lurcher owner other than give us a bad name. Discuss.

PS. Insult me as much as you like but don't call me an anti, that is below the belt.

funny "the unspeakable in pursuit of the uneatable" is the very quote used in nearly every anti letter i read in the papers, to my shame it was a fello irish man that said it first. the ones who do most damage to weakining our sport are hunters who seem to think that how they kill or hunt is some how nicer or better then how others do it. i've had lads have a go at me on other sites cos i dig foxes, these same fellas shoot 5,6,7,8 or nine foxes on a nights lamping

the reason i wont be posting about anymore of my days out hunting on this site is because of threads like this.

Ive had both colliexs and bullxs, and both make good lurchers. Both were good on rabbits+fox,

colliexgrey =70lb bullx grey=70lb, but i think the colliex was more agile, and could catch

that bit more than the bullx. Bullx is ok as long as you use them for the right job, and not

everybody does.??

This is part of the reason why i choose to own bull x's, dont have any quarry/bragging photos sorry ;)

:)

Great picture and I agree with those that say bull breeds are the best with children. They have a great nature and a natural instinct to mind kids. Have a staffy myself and she gets excited every time she sees kids and imediatly wants to lye down becide them and lick them.

you can not eat a rat but it dunt stop people letting two terriers pull it in half just because it is a different shape and form it still has the same rights as any other animal so if two dogs can do it to a rat i say thay can do it to a foxs
