Its some of the idiots that own them that give us a bad name, not the dog, and its not just bull crosses. Tarring everyone with the same brush is something that the antis do, because some jumped up yo

When I first started out out with lurchers a dog was valued for its pot filling abilities. A dog that could take the full spectrum of fur and feather was considered the ultimate working companion.

Nowadays the ultimate lurcher is seen as the most macho looking bullcross that can soak up punishment and slaughter foxes night after night and never get sickened.

The old quotation: "The unspeakable in pursuit of the uneatable."comes to mind.

We've lost our way a little. Give me a dog that can put meat on the table rather than a fighting dog/ running dog hybrid anytime.

Personally I'm sick to death of 16 year old morons posting sicko photos of their fox catches with dogs that would be better served hunting lions or some other larger game. The bull cross has done nothing for the general lurcher owner other than give us a bad name. Discuss.

PS. Insult me as much as you like but don't call me an anti, that is below the belt.

ive had a bullx before the dogz are tempremental with other dogz in my experiance but each to there own

blinder !! i think before people try and grass people up ( or in there word just letting them know) they should maybe think first . not everyone puts a time and date in there cameras

how about a seperate topic on how to keep safe on here, with regards to pictures/cameras etc

ive had a bullx before the only thing in dont like is tere tempremental with other dogs in my experiance. But its each to there own mate :whistling:

My experience is that any dog that isnt socialised properly can be aggressive but 9/10 times a bull cross that is socialised properly will be fine with other dogs and i dont think this is significantly different to any other breed. I think the main thing is that people notice an aggressive streak in a bull x more. I do it myself! For example if im at a game fair with my dogs and im stood next to someone else who has say a whippet. If that whippet growls at one of mine then i rein mine in out of biting distance BUT if it were a bullx and it growled at mine i would move away completely and stand somewhere else! lol

lol the be all and end all of bullcross's has spoken lol

anyway i found this, instead of being a smart arse and trying to pull people up on dates of photos maybe i can try and help them. i dont know why i would want to help half the people here anyway but here goes:

All digital camera's add a hidden file of information to a photo. This file of information is called the EXIF data file, and stores information about the camera and the photo. The information about the camera includes make and model and the settings the camera was on when the picture was taken. Information about the photo includes resolution and DPI. Also, the date and time the photo was taken is included.

This information is excellent for storing your own pictures - it's the digital equivalent of writing on the back of a snapshot, only more information is included. This info can be used to organize photo's by date taken, or by camera used. The only downside to this is privacy - whoever gets ahold of these photos will be able to see the same things. While not a big deal for most things, the information can be used to identify where you were at a certain time, or similar information that you may not what to reach certain eyes.

If you have digital photos taken with any digital camera and you would like to remove the EXIF data file, follow these next simple steps to get started.

Items Needed:

Computer

Digital Camera

Step 1: The method used will ultimately vary based on your needs. If you need to remove the EXIF file from a single photo, the easiest method is to use Photoshop. If you don't have Photoshop, you can use GIMP, which is similar. Open the photo. Select if by pressing 'Control + A', and then copy it by pressing 'Control + C'. Create a new canvas and paste the photo to that canvas. The EXIF data will automatically be missing.

Step 2: While the last step was great for quickly removing the EXIF file from a single digital photo, it is impractical and time consuming to do this for a batch of photos, especially from a full day of shooting.

If you have an entire folder of photos that you need to strip the EXIF information from and you don't want to do it all by hand, then follow the next steps.

Download JSTRIP. This program is free, and can be used to do many different things to a batch of JPEG photos, including removing the EXIF data file. Install the program to your hard drive and select the folder with all the photos. Check the box to remove the EXIF data, and then wait for it to complete. You will now have an identical set of photos that doesn't include the EXIF data

it is! lol but im trying to say in general people take more notice of a bull x growling than a smaller breed so i dont think they are neccessarily more dog aggresive than the next breed.

This is also a class thing....

I have owned and bred Staffies before anyone threatens me with " I no WeRe Yo Liv."

If you go round our local estates, as I do to visit some of my best mates, you are tripping over chavs with staffies. Its such a shame as they are great dogs in both temperament and ability. There are few brreds that are as athletic when fit, and I had a leggy KC dog that could do a five bar gate at pace.

There are too many idiots who have unfortunatly decided this is the cross for them, spoiling it for others. But it is good to see that some of the more sane and balanced members on here are taking a stand against those who seem only to want to push there luck with fox and deer pics, and intimidate those who disagree with them.

This is not all bull x owners, but there is a definate group on here who do try and bully anyone who dares to disagree with them. If you threaten or abuse anyone on here you should be banned. You wouldnt get away with it in the street so why on here.

So, don't have a go at the dogs, they can't help being bred, it's SOME of the chav owners that are to blame, and I would not rule out having a bull cross myself sometime. I would have to except, however, that I will have to carry the Chav stigma.... ;)
